World Ahead Community

This implementation is one of the first program to bridge the digital divide at the community level for socio-economic growth.

Baramati is a tier 4 town in pune District -undeserved in terms of ICT access to citizens and usage of IT to deliver access to urban benefit and skills. This project by World Ahead Community has been implemented with the objectives of delivering benefits through technology-based solution in areas critical to soco economics growth: Education, Entrepreneurship, Woman Empowerment, Health Care, E-Governance. This implementation has been done local partners and local government.

Under this areas implementation like Remote Diagnostic at PHC at RUI, which a Tele Health Project, Mobile PC-Labs which have education contents covering 49 rural schools and the Intel Teach Program which trends teachers to be more effective educators using technology have been made. There are also 200 computer training center run by woman entrepreneurs from Local Self Help Groups where 10,000 woman have been trained till now. Industry partners (member of Intel's World Ahead Alliance) led by Intel executed all projects in partnership with VIIT (Vidya Pratishthan's Institute Of Information technology).
